Crafty business name suggestions..
Hi ladies!

I'm thinking about starting a little crafty business, so I'm trying to come up with a name for it. I'm going to be doing yarn wreaths, letter/saying blocks, maybe some primitive and regular signs. I was also trying to think of something with "Rose" in it but couldn't come up with anything creative. If you wouldn't mind participating in the poll & I'm up for any suggestions. Thanks!

Re: Crafty business name suggestions..
I'm not a fan of spelling things with a K that normally begin with a C. It's one of my biggest pet peeves. And speaking from experience, I would try to not use your actual name in your business name unless you intend to sell yourself as part of your branding. It makes it a little bit difficult when you want to diversify and open yourself to other options and people know your name from your business. It can be both a blessing and a pain in the patootie.
For example, I use my name currently (though I may be transitioning off this as part of my re-branding plan next year) for my business- Iliana Morton Photography. Last year I became involved in a new company that did some wedding showcases, and it was very hard for me to introduce myself as a representative for that company when so many people recognized my name as a photographer. It was nice that they recognized me, but difficult to branch out and try something different.
If you're going to be working with wood a lot, and you like the word rose, I'd probably try to join some words that represent what you want your business to represent and look like. Rosewood? I don't know
Sorry this got so long! BUt I have 2 book reccomendations for you. I've worked through both of them and they are both AWESOME-
The Right-Brain Business Plan by Jennifer Lee (very awesome tips, especially for those just starting a creative business, helps you visualize your business plan) and Craft Inc. and the Craft Inc. Business Planner, both by Meg Mateo. The planner is awesome for keeping track of notes and other things. I used the planner along with another sketchbook to work through the exercises in the RBBP book.
Most importantly- GOOD LUCK!
