BSN in one year..where???
Hi, this is a spin-off on the post below about nursing school. I live in CO and am getting ready to enter into an RN program in January. It is two years, with all my prereqs done before-hand as well as a Bachelor's degree in Science. I am very curious how it would be possible to squeeze an RN program into a year, never mind a BSN program. Any info on this would be appreciated. I am currently planning on getting my RN then doing my BSN online, while working hopefully. However most of the RN to BSN programs I've found at least a year.
Re: BSN in one year..where???
Look for an "accelerated BSN program". My school offers a 5 term (15 month) BSN provided you already have a bachelors in a non nursing field with at least a 3.0GPA. This does not include prereqs which would have to be done before applying. The accelerated programs move at a fast pace and pack a lot into each term. Looks like Colorado State has a 14 month accelerated program.
