My son's 4th birthday is the end of October- I want to give him a party but we do not have much money to spend. I looked into things such as a balloon guy, magician, build a bear but they all cost too much. Does anyone have any inexpensive ideas? I will only be inviting 6 kids from his daycare- and some family as well. TIA
Re: Son's 4th birthday party
Does he like Halloween? Dress-Up?

What's he into? I just did a baseball 4th bday. The party review is here

It was under $100 for 20ish people (mostly adults) including a full meal, decorations, and pinata.
I am not one that feels you need to hire anyone or go someplace. Pick a theme and have a party in your home- cake and ice cream is just fine too. If you have a starting point that the kid is into maybe we can help brainstorm.
Instead of a pinata have a balloon on a string for each child. Fill them with coffetti, candy, or whatever and let them each pop one. Or you could have a painting party where each kid gets to create.
I'm just thinking, that if you go with a theme it may save the cost of other entertainment. My family never rented clowns etc, and our parties were always fun. What about pirate themed? Whatever he's interested in.
