Suggestions for 75th birthday celebration?
My cousins are planning a surprise 75th birthday party for my aunt. They want to have it at a restaurant and I would guess around 20 guests. (Just family and close friends). One of my cousins decided that I should help plan because I'm "good at that". So far we've come up with Mitchell's(Waterfront) and Pittsburgh Steak Company as places to look in to. Any other ideas? (it can be anywhere in the East, South or City - we have no fear of tunnels, rivers and bridges!)
Re: Suggestions for 75th birthday celebration?
Depending your budget, we've had great experiences at Lidia's and Eleven. Both have private rooms for a group.
If you want to do a Sunday, Avenue B does private events at the restaurant on Sundays.
We had my best friend's bridal shower at Atria's in Mt. Lebanon, and we were very happy with them.
I believe Buca in Robinson has a private room, and the family ordering may be nice depending on who is paying for what.
You didn't mention North, but I had my mom's 60th birthday party at Willow a few years ago. It was in a private room that was really nice because the room was full of windows and surrounded by trees - it looked really pretty (it was fall). The food and service were wonderful (and reasonable).
My friend had her rehearsal dinner at Rock Bottom on the Waterfront - this was a really long time ago so I don't remember too much, but I do know they had a private room (and some good beer!).
