Start of Fall

The official start of fall is Saturday! Anyone have any plans?

H and I will be cleaning and packing in preparation for our trip. We may celebrate and exchange gifts/ cards for our aniversary and my birthday. I'm so happy it's starting to feel like fall here.

Re: Start of Fall

  • Is it sad that I plan to take out all my sweaters, hoodies etc.. and was them? Wow, what a weekend :)

I need to decorate our bedroom, so far all we have is a bed and a dresser in it and it echos, something my husband hates. And no, I'm not putting a TV in it.

I have to figure out something to do for our anniversary. He wants a new Xbox. I don't know if that's anniversary worthy..

  • My mom texted me saying this morning in the Poconos (near where she works) it was 45 degrees. When I left my house at 7am here it was close to 80 degrees already :-P

It's so weird not having Fall here. I'm reading everyone's FB statuses about being excited for hoodie weather and I'm still in a tank top, shorts, and flip flops.

  • But 80 degrees is the start of fall in the south.  It's 88 here at almost 6 pm and I'm excited since it feels like fall for here.

No tv in the bedroom is not strange at all. That's how I've always lived. We still have no tv in the bedroom. We did rearrange our furniture in our place and the computer desk is now in our bedroom. So we sort of have a tv in there now.  What I'm saying is no tv is normal and ok.

LOL that is true since it's no longer 95+. I'm just not used to it yet. My mind thinks 'fall' as 50s-60s.

We keep going back and forth about having a tv in the bedroom. Neither of us mind it, but it's not a necessity. At our old place we didn't have it and we did not start with one in the bedroom here until we found out our cable package automatically included it. We only really watch for 20-30 minutes before we fall asleep though.

  • H and I are planning to go apple picking on Saturday, and then I'm going to make some sort of apple treats for us, haven't decided exactly what yet but we can't wait! I'm so excited for fall to be here again!

  • Apple picking sounds like so much fun! It's been ages and ages since I've been to an orchard.
  • No plans here really.  I like the idea of apple picking though!  My favorite part about fall.. pumpkin spice lattes!

  • I have to switch my shoe wardrobe - bring out the knee-high boots!  Most of my sweaters are in the spare room closet, so I will probably just leave the majority of the wardrobe as is.

Otherwise, I'm doing a girl's night on Saturday and then on Sunday we have a brunch with MIL and then dinner with FIL (damn divorce!).

  • Hopefully we're going to go take a 2nd look at a house we like.  Then we plan on driving south a little bit.  I love the fall and the cool, crisp weather!
