Share your summer adventures
There is obviously a lot of lurkers based on the post views. To get this board going again, what did you do this summer?
Besides have #2, we managed to go camping 5 times. Two of them were after Jake was born. It helps we have a camper so we just brought his bassinet. I figured all they do is eat, sleep and poop anyway. We were hoping to go again this weekend but a high of mid 50's is a little too chilly.
Re: Share your summer adventures
Oh wow, I can't imagine going camping right now. I went when I was 7 months pregnant and it was awful.
I had a baby and complained about being pregnant.
I spoiled with a comfy queen bed, shower and toilet. No way will I go back to tent camping.
We just tried to be outside as much as possible with the girls; pool time, parks, parades, zoo visits, splash pad fun, went to the drive-in twice (they are closing it next month for good), went and saw the TC River Rats, hung out in my sister's lake, Twins game and the State Fair.
We had a lot of fun this summer, but I am so excited for fall! We have plans to go to Fawn Doe Rosa, apple picking and to the pumpkin patch. I think this weekend we'll make a huge leaf pile for the girls. All 4 of our silver maples are bare already!

We tried to be outside as much as possible! We took up running and do that 3-5 days a week. I tried out stand up paddleboarding with a girlfriend at Lake Calhoun (so much fun!). A trip to North Carolina to visit and stay with friends. A trip to Maryland to visit BIL and their two kids. DH and I also got scuba certified this summer :-) Lots of date nights on our patio with grilled dinner and a bottle of wine...
We really wanted to embrace this summer for all it was worth. We're going to start TTC in January and have been checking stuff off our bucket list like crazy for the last 18 months :-)
Hi Ladies!
I've been embracing my pregnancy, we went to the cabin, my family did their truck-cross racing, DH raced once, we went to the State Fair .... and I think that's about it.
Fairly boring, really.
