Just married!

Our wedding was one week ago.  It was beautiful, we were blessed with amazing weather!  I was just so shocked at how fast it all went.  I mean, I knew it would go by quick and all... but it was so much faster than I thought.

I love my husband with all of my heart, he is so wonderful!  I honestly don't feel too  much different now that we are married.  I love being married, but we had been living together for a while before the wedding.   I did feel different after the engagement.  Just wondering if anyone else feels the same?

 Thanks!

Re: Just married!

  • Yes I agree. It will be 90 days tomorrow that we are married. My husband and I brought a house a year before getting married. On our honeymoon, we were shopping. I was going to buy something I liked but they didn't take debit cards so I had to go ask my husband in one of the other neighboring stores (was looking at books while I shopped) for some cash.

I told the sales lady to hold the merchandise at the counter so I could go ask  my fiance for some cash. I started to walk away then stopped and said to the sales lady "Actually, he is my husband. We are on our honeymoon." haha.

She laughed and said it would probably take time to get used to.

  • We have been married for 20 days!!!! It doesn't feel any different here either.  Although, I have caught myself saying my husband in conversations...  and after saying it...catching a moment.  Thinking OMG I am his wife!!!
  • Isn't it the best?!!! I love being married! We have been married since June 2nd and it's still sinking in.  It's so cool when H introduces me to people as his wife and vice versa.  I love looking down and seeing two rings on that finger and knowing that I'm going to spend my life with my best friend. It only gets better! :-)

Exactly this. I am still in such awe that I am married to such an amazing man. After 4 years of dating, we are finally married! We just passed the 4 month mark this past Wednesday. :)

  • I totally agree with the saying husband and feeling that little... ohh!  I also like looking at my new last name in print... LOL  makes it definitely feel real then.  We have definitely been happy since the wedding, I mean we always were but now it is maybe a little bit of a different "married" happy... so thats nice.  I am just relived to know I wasn't the only one who felt this way!
  • Congratulations! I just got married, too. Kinda wierd getting used to saying, "my husband this and that.." and using the new name. But I love it all the same. Hope to get to know you ladies more.

  • Congrats!

Lets see.. I wed in July and since then it hasn't felt much different even though we lived states apart before marrying. I guess because we spent eveyday for months talking or skyping, even taking trips back and forth to see eachother. So the only thing thats different is being side by side everyday. But it is cool for sure! I love saying my husband, or him referring to me as wife. I feel so grown up for some reason, lol, I suppose because it's one of the biggest things you'll ever do in life :))
