Hi Everyone!
I'm thinking about going on a little picnic with my boyfriend this weekend. Things have been a little boring lately so I'm trying to do something special and different. I don't cook much but I'm willing to try something new or go out and buy some nice snacks/food. Any ideas on what I can bring? Of course blanket and wine are first on my list. TIA!!!
Re: Picnic Date - help!
Ina Garten has done some cute picnic things. I guess a couple of thoughts are to keep things bite sized so you don't have to worry about trying to cut things. I'd also keep in mind what sort of food you both like. DH and I would be happy with some good cheese, some sort of fancy meat, and good bread to nibble on with some dried fruits. My brother is a meat and potatoes boy and would never consider that a meal.
My last thought is to look at places around where you are picnicing for a cute dessert or after dinner drink.

Thinking of doing cosmetic updates to a dated home? These were our costs.
Hi! Thanks to the first poster, those ideas are great. Unfortuantely, we had a busy weekend of unexpected obligations so I'm hoping for next weekend!
Any suggestions are appreciated! Thanks!

I don't think it's lame! But with the different suggestions I think I'm def going with cheese/meats and crackers and some type of sweet is a good idea too. Thanks all
not sure where you live, but my bf and I had a date on the beach....I packed stuff to make sandwiches. I bought a nice sourdough bread, meat, cheese, lettuce, sliced tomatoes, pickles, chips, and he fed me grapes. It was so special! We got to the beach just before sunset! Played in the tidepools, then sat in the car had dinner! watched the sunset! Someone got married on the beach too!
