For our first anniversary, I am planning to give DH a notebook with 365 date/activity ideas in it - 1 for every day of the year. The items in the notebook range from going to the movies to volunteering together to sitting on the couch next to each other texting instead of talking. So far I have come up with 213 things, but I still have 152 to go and I'm running out of ideas! I have less than 2 months left, so I was hoping maybe you ladies could help me think of some things! Most of the "conventional" stuff has already been put in the notebook, but I appreciate any and all suggestions!
Re: Date and activity ideas
Fly a kite.
Collect seashells.
Play putt putt.
Watch fireworks.
Design your Christmas cards together.
Visit a pet store.
I think that's all I've got for now.
- Do they have anywhere to play Bocci Ball in your area?
- Take a class together (Painting, cooking, etc.)
- Create a scavenger hunt list and go some place neither of you have been and try to find everything on the list (or each do it separately to see who completes it first)
- I know you live in the South, but how far away from Louisville are you? Road trip to get a customized bat!
- Or go to an animal sanctuary (I know one in MO and one in TN)
- Have you ever seen the show Chopped? Have your own competition. Each person gets to pick 2 or 3 required ingredients and you each have to come up with some sort of dish - whether you decide it's a meal, an appetizer/snack, or dessert.
- Search for 'free admission' days at local attractions (museum, zoo, etc.)

Volunteer at a shelter or soup kitchen.
Host a game night for friends.
Pick a cooking show- make whatever they make.
Go "shopping" at an art museum.
Thats such a great idea. I may do that too. Although I need to get my butt in gear. Are you like handwriting it or typing it up or whats it look like? Is it like a binder or cards or what? Such a good idea.
As far as ideas...hmm...
Make Samitan's Purse Boxes together or sponsor an angel from a local angel tree and go shopping together. Something like that.
If there are any orchards or anything near you maybe you could go apple picking or peach picking. So fun. and Yummy.
Plant a garden. Either flowers or vegetables.
I'll keep brainstorming. If I think of anything else I'll let you know.
