Recommend your workout SHOES
I've tried Nike Shox, Nike AirMax, Asics Gel and none seem to be very comfortable for long walks/working out. Please recommend your shoes!

Re: Recommend your workout SHOES
I just started running and HIGHLY recommend Brooks. I love them so much.

There's a store in NYC callled Jackrabbit and they have a treadmill that they put you on to analyze your running style and what kind of support you need. These have great support and are super comfy! Plus I really love the way they look. ;D
First off I skip out on the fancy shoes that claim to do more for you then they do. Example...the ones that claim to do all these amazing things for your a$$.
I honestly cannot remember the name but I have had them for 6 years now and I workout regularly. Mine are super comfy and in the 60 dollar range. Worth the cash. Also when you go shopping do you just choose by looks or do you actually let the people in the store fit you for them. It helped me out a lot to go to a lady footlocker and get fitted.
I have a pair of Reebok Easy Tones and a pair of Reebok Run Tones.
Yeah, they don't do what they advertise, but they are insanely comfortable. They're the only running shoes I've found that don't make my feet ache.
What I wear is irrelevant.
What you should really do is go to a running store and get fitted for them. They'll watch you walk and recommend shoes based on your foot type (flat footed, high arches, etc), and your gait pattern. They'll also let you walk/run in them to get a good feel if they're right for you. It could be that you're wearing shoes that aren't appropriate for you--and could be putting you at increased risk for injury.
ETA: Your sizing could be off too. I wear a 7.5 shoe, but I run/workout in 8.5. That's another thing they can figure out for you at a good running store.
