Weekend Plans?

What is everyone up to this weekend?

H is curling in a bonspiel (curling tournament) this weekend in Burnsville so DS and I are chilling at home with the dogs. Today we're fighting colds, and DS has given me a run for my money all day, but he's finally napping in his rock n play now, so I'm cruising the net. I should be cleaning my kitchen, but eh.

Tomorrow my BFFs are coming over for a movie night. We have a list of 100 movies (we each picked 25) that we love or have always wanted to see, so we're watching two kids movies tomorrow night in honor of my DS being the first kid in our group.

Sunday my mom, aunt, uncle, H and DS and I are all walking at Target Field in the Light the Night Walk in honor of my dad, who we lost 2.5 years ago to lymphoma. (If anyone wants to donate, go here, but we're late to the party so we're just walking this year, next year we'll go hardcore on the fundraising)

Being on maternity leave straight from summer break, the weeks and weekends all kind of run together.

Re: Weekend Plans?

  • sounds busy, but nice! For the first time in forever we have absolutely no plans. We have weddings the next 3 weekends though so I'm looking forward to having a lazy weekend at home with my boys.

  • What is up with getting colds already, it is only September?!?  DH, DD1 and I have been sick all week (DD2 has an iron immune system, she has not picked up any of the crap DD1 has given us over the last year).

We're supposed to go to a big picnic tomorrow, but I want to skip it and go to Fawn Doe Rosa instead.  My next few weekends are full and I want to go before it closes.

Sunday I have to go shopping, clean the house, and get stuff ready for the week.  I have to go out of state for work Wed-Sun and DH will be alone with the girls...someone hold me.

  • I needed some time to just "be" so yesterday I sat around.  It was awesome!  I hit up Nemo in 3D with one of my sisters and I'm pretty sure we were the ONLY childless people in the theater but I don't care.  Today, we're getting our kitchen put back together again - all the food is going in the pantry and out of boxes.  I've found that in my frustration to find things I went out and bought a lot of stuff I already had so I'm having to combine a lot of stuff.  It is actually kind of fun!
