Rec. your full covereage foundation please!!

Looking for a full coverage foundation to help cover up some red blotchiness i get on my cheeks and chin. I think I have pretty average skin. Not oily and not really dry, although it can get dry in the winter if i'm not good with moisturizing.

Thanks!!

  • I really like Chanel's Aqua Vitalumiere Ultra lightweigh, although it's lightweight it covers very well. Definitely worth trying, they can make you a small sample at any counter so you could try it a few days to see if you like it or not.
  • I love Bobbi Brown's foundation. I use the moisturizing one since I have dry skin.

  • I like Dermablend.

You can also increase the coverage of your makeup by adding a little cream concealer to it. I've done that countless times. MUFE cream concealer (comes in a tiny tube) mixes very well.

You can try Revlon Colorstay foundation (it's cheap and available everywhere) and if that doesn't give you enough coverage, add a tiny bit of MUFE concealer. Oh, and L'Oreal True Match pressed powder foundation provides excellent coverage for a powder. It's great when you're in a hurry (or on a budget).

  • Makeup Forever HD foundation.  It's awesome.

I also love the MAC Studio Sculpt foundation.

  • FWIW, the MUFE foundation was horrible for me- I heard so many great things and was so sure it would work and then didn't :/

After a lot of trial and error, I found that Lancome's Teint Idole 24H works best for me.

I'd highly suggest going to Sephora, explain what you're looking for, and taking home several samples to try... You can hear what everyone recommends, but it's really hard to predict what will work best for you.

    GL!

  • The new Maracuja foundation from tarte is really nice.  Stick foundation will give you the fullest coverage though, and that can double as a concealer if you need it to.  I prefer Napoleon Perdis' stick, personally. You can also mix that one with foundation primer to make it blend easier.

This is what I bought this afternoon.  Tried it once last year  and now I'm addicted and my skin loves it too

  • I also love Makeup Forever! The sales clerks at Sephora told me that Cirque du Soleil uses this makeup on their performers and it stays put for a while too.
  • For cheap drugstore stuff, I love love love Revlon's PhotoReady Liquid Make up.  It has an airbrush quality to it and light reflectors so your skin looks a little dewy, not dry.  I also use a bronzer on top of it so my skin doesn't look matte.
