So, don't really know if this is the right board to post this on (I've spent most of my time previously on Bump Boards), but this seemed the best fit.
Anyway, on to the important stuff. My fiance and I have accepted an offer to sell his house in the next 2 months and are planning to move to Phoenix, AZ from Ashland, KY. He's originally from AZ, lived in Phoenix before moving to this area in 1999. But, he's a boy, so no matter how much I poke and prod, he can't think of important things I should know about 1) moving 2000 miles across country and 2) what to expect living in Phoenix. We visited for a week and a half earlier this year so I could see if I liked it (obviously I did), but I'm sure there's a LOT more to know.
Any advice? Tips/tricks? TIA!
Re: Moving to Phoenix!
Congrats on the upcoming sale and move. The local board has been pretty dead the last few months :-(
I've never moved cross country before, sounds like an exciting change though. Do you know what part of Phoenix you'll be living/working in? Only advice is don't move during the summer months. It's starting to cool off here now but our summer heat can be brutal if you are trying to move and unpack/settle in.
