Prop 2 is using embryos leftover from IVF that would be destroyed anyway. But I guess in her eyes, they've always been baby killers

Personally I don't see a problem using embryo's for research if they are going to be destroyed anyways.

I totally agree that the embryos be used. They are just going to be destroyed otherwise. I am all for stem cell research. My SIL's father has had stem cell treatment 2 times and is going one more round for treatment of multiple myeloma (hope I spelle/remembered right) and both of my parents have leukemia.
My parents are freakish......same type of leukemia diagnosed a few years apart. Both are at levels not ready to be treated. They are monitored closely and I feel that stem cells may one day save their lives.
I don't know if stem cell research is being used in cystic fibrosis, but my daughter is a carrier and I worry about her future children. Why do people feel that this is so wrong? I agree that my co-irker most likely doesn't agree with the whole embryo not being in a body in general. But if that little embryo could help save lives, isn't that embryo a little angel?!
