How often do you end up POAS?

So, I noticed in another post that someone said they had never POAS.  I found this strange because I am often paranoid and crazy, so it got me wondering..

 

How often do you end up taking a pregnancy test?

In HS I had random periods, that were not on perfect schedules (sometimes I'd skip a month or two), and then a month before the wedding I went on BCP. 

There were a couple times I was slightly worried but waited it out.

I have but only once or maybe twice.  I try to make myself wait it out. EPTs are expensive, and I try not to take them if I have no reason other than just nervousness to believe it will be positive.  I took one a couple of months ago because I had had a very light period and I was having all kinds of weirdness. Nausea, dizzyness, backpain, etc.  I thought my paranoia was making my symptoms worse so I decided to go ahead and it was BFN.

I usually don't because usually a late period or possible pregnancy can be attributed to a stressor, but I have had a few pregnancy scares and the test puts my fears to rest.

I am on one of those pills where you only have 4 periods a year, so I have 3 months between periods.  Usually I'll have some spotting in the 2nd or 3rd month (which is normal on this pill), but it always manages to freak me out enough to make me POAS, haha.  So usually about once every 3 months or so.

I'm not on BC and my periods can be wonky. About once a year my period will totally screw with me and be 2 weeks+ later than "normal" so I POAS and feel better when I see the BFN.

I had to for the first time this week. It was a BFN both times thank God because we weren't trying at all and I'm on BC, but I was getting sick every morning for a week and couldn't focus on anything. And women in my family have to just look at a naked man and -boom-, pregnant.

Yea, I'm one of those paranoid people that have a jacked up cycle. Some times I'll be on point and other times I'll go like three months without a period. In those times, I usually don't realize it's been that long until I sit back and think about it and then I start to psych myself out and get pregnancy symptoms that won't quit until I've POAS and gotten a BFN. Usually I start like 2 days after I take the test. Haha.

I think I should probably buy stock in pregnancy tests. Haha.
