SM Intyce with pencil skirt?

I am trying to "shop" my closet for some upcoming events and want to utilize my JCrew pencil skirt.  I got it a year or so ago and it is dark blue cotton - it is similar to trouser pant material and look.  Can Steve Madden Intyce boots and a pencil skirt "go" together?  I was going to wear it for a bridal luncheon at a local restaurant.  It is not a fancy venue, it is actually more like a sports bar,  I am trying to Polyvore some outifts for inspiration using stuff I actually own, so thought I would ask.  PIP if you have done this!  thanks!

Re: SM Intyce with pencil skirt?

  • I think that would love really cute. I've worn boots and a pencil skirt before. What are you thinking for the blouse?

  • I have a top from Gap that my H bought me that has a tan and blue pattern and matches perfectly with a teal blue 3/4 sleeve cardigan.  I also thought I could make it more casual if I wore a long sleeve shirt and scarf - I have several scarfs in various prints that would work with say a long sleeve white tee.  Thoughts?

  • I find the Intyce to be a pretty casual boot and looks best with jeans/leggings; I'd have to see the items you're going to pair with it before making a decision though.
