Meat Free Monday?

Do any of you do Meat Free Monday? Or one day where you make a meat free meal? Do you think there are any benefits to this?

DH and I try to do this once a week, Monday is just the easiest day to remember so we usually do that. When we were in college we didn't eat much meat... just because we couldn't afford it often, so we know a lot of different recipes involving vegetables that we bring along to our "meat free monday" dinners. I think this is a great idea to not only eat and spend less money on meat but to find how many meat free dinner options are out there.

Re: Meat Free Monday?

  • We try to do meatless Mondays every week in addition to a meatless meal on the weekends.  It's usually just easier to make, cheaper, and we enjoy it.  Many of our meatless meals involve tofu or pasta.

  • We do meatless Monday. I like to make a big batch of veggie chili and freeze it. It makes Monday meals even easier. I also make alot of roasted veggies for sandwiches and pasta.
  • we do meatless monday's also. and its always fun for me to try and come up with something that fills my husband up that doesn't involve a piece of meat
