For those who can't see it...
Apparently tires older than 6 years old (even if they are sold brand new) are dangerous -- the treads can come completely off. Retailers have been caught selling tires older than that brand new (the tires had just been on the shelf for several years).
When you get a chance, you should watch the video, because it shows you how to decode from the numbers printed on the tires how long ago they were made.

I was told I need new tires soon anyhow, but this pisses me off!
I just checked. My front tires are new-ish (05 and 06) but the back ones are old!
