Rude dj

Sooo...tonight was my coworker's wedding..it was a very nice wedding...buttttt....

Her dj was a damn ***. Thats all I gotta say...now...correct me if im wrong...but when you tell ur guests that it is all requests...so please go request...and so i went and requested our first dance song (metallica nothing else matters) and the dj was a JERK to me and refused to play it....hubby went and talked to him after I went back to the table very upset and he still refused to play it for him...I understand the rest of their songs being on a no play list...we had one...but when a guest asks you and tells you that it was in fact their first dance....you are not beyond rude to them...Id be the type to confirm with the bride if there was a pause? and double check...she did ask me what our first dance was so its not like it was a surprise...and she is not against it..she loved that we danced to it.  He is just lucky that I didnt want to look bad and go off on him considering I had a few drinks in me...but I was the adult and didnt...but you can bet for dang sure if I can find a way to go on their site and give them a bad review I am.....he did supposedly appologize to hubby saying he felt bad but he was just a jerk overall and didnt play anything people were requesting....

Sorry..just had to vent...ughh...hate being so upset but it really has me going :(

Re: Rude dj

  • Drink some water and get some sleep...it won't seem like such a big deal in the morning :).

It sucks when vendors are rude for sure, but in the end just be happy it wasn't your wedding!!! If you want to leave a review, do it..thats the point of reviews, to let the vendor and the general public know what you thought and what you liked or disliked about thier service.

If you decide not leave a review, maybe at a later date talk to the bride about it, maybe she (or her H) - did have it on a no play list for some reason? Or maybe there was miscommunication between her and the DJ and that he was never instructed to take requests even though that was what she thought she was getting? Maybe get her to review the service since its her money that was paid and holds a bit more weight?

  • It might seem like a big deal right now, but ask yourself  "will this really matter a year from now".  It most likely won't.  So the guy was a d-bag.  Don't stoop to d-bag territory and leave a nasty review.  Karma is a *** and it'll come around and bite him sooner or later.   I hope you and H had a good time despite a d-dag deejay.
