It is super early for Christmas but ever year I send out cards last minute.  Anyone have fun creative card ideas?

  • Are you looking for a homemade card? a photo card? kids or pets involved?

Ditto this....I usually do either photo cards (easiest for me as H and I are both photographers) the same for everyone, OR I make cards using scrapbooking stuff and my cricut.

Pinterest has lots of ideas for homemade ones, as do many of the crafting blogs/websites.

  • Making a card by own with a funny photo is a very good idea of creative card and to get entertainment.
  • I personally dislike photo cards. I like being able to frame or put the photo in an album. So personally I send out cards with a photo of us tucked inside. You can always make a card and attach the photo to the front making it apart of the card.

well, I still throw those out.  Stick out tongue

I throw away all christmas cards at the end of the season.  I hate clutter. lol

  • These are some really great ways to display Christmas Cards around the season. These are also really easy to make if you have someone, or you, can sow. A trip to the fabric store and hobby store and Walah! you have yourself a great way to adorn your doors indoors. I use these on our guest bedroom door, guest bedroom closet door and guest bathroom door. There are so many creative ways to display them other than this. Just thought I'd share.

Each year we do a photo card from Walgreens.com. They are simple, cheap and beautiful. We upload a photo or photos of us and our travels throughout that year and design a great card with a personal greeting. The cards are usually ready within the week and we work hard on mailing them out the next week to the 50+ people we love. I have gotten lots of compliments on the cards that people love them and appreciate them especially if we can't get to see them during the holidays. imageimage

  • What a great way to display cards!

Thank you everyone fore the awesome ideas.  Last year I did a simple picture card but I think this year I might be more creative and hit up some craft/hobby stores!

  • I love catching up with friends and family that I don't see often through Christmas cards.  I love that on Shutterfly and other sites you can now write on the back of the card.  We usually put a short message highlighting events of the year.
  • If you have a Cricut, this website has a lot of cute ideas:
