What shampoo do you use?

I have been using Sally's Beauty Supply version of Biolage for about a year now.  But within the last month or so I have been breaking out on my scalp.  Well, thats what it feels like anyway.  Its painfull and some get scabby.  I am not sure if they changed the formula or anything.  I want to try switching my shampoo and see if it helps before I see a dermatologist.

Re: What shampoo do you use?

  • Redken, I think it's called Real Control (in a purple bottle). I have thick somewhat frzzy wavy hair
  • I use Wen for part of the time (the pomegranate one) and when i'm not using Wen, I use a protein shampoo.  Right now I'm using the Ojon Restorative shampoo & conditioner, and I really like it.

I love Wen, but I find that when I use it for more than 1-2 months exclusively, my hair looks oily unless I wash it every day, and I don't like to wash it that much.

  • head and shoulders is my favorite. it makes my hair smell nice and silky smooth lol.
  • Currently I'm using eufora, I like it. I have no complaints but I'm not sure if its worth the price. I feel like less expensive shampoo works just as well. I'm also a big fan of Tresemme for color treated hair.

  • I was a huge thermasilk fan back when it was around, but since it's no longer made I've switched to using Dove shampoo and conditioner...it leaves my hair feeling super soft and not too dry or too oily.

  • Have run the gamut with shampoo/cond over the years from drug store, to salon and back.  Another vote for Dove here and love it! My hair tend to get frizzy and had natural curl; it works like a charm and I'd say better than most I have tried before.

  • I use the L'Oreal Everstrong Hydrate shampoo.  If I'm being honest, I use it only because it smells good (rosemary!)

  • Hey!I have many problem with my hair like when I clean my hair it goes like hard and I can't even run my finger through it when wet. I'm sure the issue is the water in our place so I make up by using handfuls of conditioner. When my hair will be dry its excellent - smooth and bright. Should I use hair shampoo for dry hair? Thanks!
  • I've had the same problem, I use the same shampoo for more than a month or more and my head starts to develop "sores" and I have to change shampoos.  I find I'm not able to use just any "cheap" shampoo.  I love Pureology although it's pricey.  Currently, my hair is color-treated, so I'm using Redken for color-treated hair, only because Pureology wasn't available.  Good luck!
