Warmth

Well our fire place is officially in use! We have a blower installed into it so we use it to heat the house all winter. Our house was a good 75/80 degrees last night and cost almost nothing since the wood is free!

Re: Warmth

  • nice!  we have no heat yet.  since the puff back we are not going back to forced hot air and going to rely on our pellet stove and electric hydronic baseboard heaters.  although last night the H was considering ductless heating.cooling.... too bad we have no time to research that (or the money to pay for it) we need to get heat in asap.

Do u have a traditional fireplace? My DH has been talking about getting a blower for ours but I'm not really sure how it would work. Thanks!!

  • I wish we had a fireplace. But I turned my heat on for the second time last night. I had it on last week too for one night. DS wakes up around 3-4am if he gets cold, so I have to have it on once the house gets around 66.

We have a traditional brick fire place and the previous owners of our house installed a blower. We have about 1200 sq feet and it HEATS the place up! Our whole house was 80 last night (too hot) but it heated up from the fire instantly. We love our blower more than any appliance in our house!!
