OUCH.

This is completely TMI and I don't really know how I expect anyone to respond, but I need some lady friends to vent to. Since I went off the pill, my cramps have been horrendous. I've been off for just over a year, and it seems to be getting progressively worse. Today I feel like a total cliche - I went into work this morning and could barely sit upright by 11:00, so H came and got me. Called my OBGYN, and the nurse called me in some meds. Hopefully they will help, because Midol didn't do a damn thing.

I'm wishy-washy on TTC, but at this point I'm thinking I either need to get KU or get back on the pill. I seriously miss that pill.

Re: OUCH.

  • I can't imagine having cramps like that.  Yuck :( hope you feel better!

  • Dude, it has not been fun. Add to the pain the awkwardness of having four male bosses, and you've got one extremely unhappy lady.

Oh, and tomorrow is my anniversary. Sigh. This is not how this week was supposed to go. :(

  • I used to have the WORST cramps if I wasn't on some sort of hormonal birth control.  I would take up to 4 ibprofen at a time and use those thermacare patches.
  • Cramps like that are the worst. I used to have to take 800mg Motrin every four hours to get through the day. Hope you get some relief soon!
  • I am SO sorry. I hope they gave you the good stuff. Before I got KU with DS, I was at the point of taking Tramadol or Lortab, plus Advil for my cramps. I'm definitely not looking forward to getting my period again.

:( I hope you feel better. Happy anniversary! Maybe tomorrow will be a less painful day.

  • I did not get "the good stuff." The nurse prescribed Naproxen, and said that if that didn't help, they'd need to see me in person. I do feel better tonight than I did earlier today, though. Our new house has a jacuzzi tub, so I soaked in there this afternoon and took it easy. Hopefully tomorrow I will at least be able to sit at my desk. Thanks for the sympathy. :)
