I'm having relatives over Saturday for a "happy hour." Instead of doing a meal, I just want to go with some yummy apps. I have a great crock pot recipe for cocktail meatballs. Does anyone have a good dip to share that would go with tortilla chips? This should be easy but my creativity has gone out the window and I don't want to do just salsa or queso dip. Help please? Thanks!
Re: dips!
heres one that says to dip bread in it but I suppose you could use tortilla chips instead :http://www.plainchicken.com/2010/11/mississippi-sin.html

this is so not fancy but a huge hit in my family.
in a pie plate, spread cream cheese across the bottom, thickness depending on your liking. Spread salsa on top and then top with shredded cheese. Heat oven to 350 and cook until cheese is melted. Serve with tortilla chips.
This isn't a very fancy dip but my crowd always loves it:
Refried beans, cream cheese, chili powder, cayenne, chopped jalapenos, few tablespoons of salsa, little chopped cilantro. Mix everything with a mixer, top with cheese, cover with foil then bake until it is hot all the way through! Fritos and tortilla chips are good dippers for this recipe
Good luck!
