Another bleach question

H ruined a brand new white shirt not too long ago which prompted last night's bleach load.  The stain didn't come out last night!  Can I soak it in bleach or something?

Re: Another bleach question

  • Again I'm no help! I ruin stuff all the time
  • never tried soaking anything in bleach. Did you dry it?  If so, the stain might be set now.  I've had luck using the Fels Naptha soap that we talked about a few months ago.  DH spilled soy sauce on his shirt then put it in the hamper so it was a few days before I washed it.  Stain came right out using the fels naptha.

Uh yeah.  H washed it in warm water with other colors which bled and then dried it and then I washed and dried it last night.  I thought with whites and bleach it doesn't matter if the stain is set? I will try the fels naptha soap though.  I hear it's only $.99 :)

  • So is the whole shirt a different color?

No there's just some brown and red around the collar.

  • Oh ok, hopefully the soap will work.  I just made sure the shirt was wet and rubbed the soap on it really hard.
