Local Debates

One of our gubernatorial debates is on right now, and it is pretty interesting to watch right after the VP debate. The tone is so different.

Do any of you watch or go to any local debates or town halls? Anyone else in a toss up state?

Re: Local Debates

  • I watched a little bit of one for our Senate race last night but honestly I dislike both candidates because all they've done is run a nasty attack campaign and I wasn't getting much out of what they were saying. I don't know who I'll vote for on Election Day (if I vote for either of them).

  • I'll watch the governor's debate, and if I ever catch a senator's I'll watch it too.  I'd love to see a Rep's, but I never seem to find them.

  • I've watched a few, and they're interesting.  So much less polished than national politics, but in some ways they're more substantive.  Local is especially interesting because we live in an ultra-liberal city, so it's not right v left.  It's pretty cool.

But it can be hard to stay informed because they're not always very well covered in my area :(
