nylons?

I have an evening wedding to go to and am wearing a black dress, black close toe heels and a silver shimmery pashmina. Would you wear some sort of nylon or just go with bare legs? It's cold up here! Thanks!

Re: nylons?

  • Unless it's like 90 degrees and I would sweat my legs off, I usually wear nylons when i'm going to a wedding.  Especially if it's going to be cold!
  • I will go with bare legs
A girl can never have too many shoes
  • It's up to your personal preference. I like wearing hose. It's like a very light shapewear layer, and keeps me from getting goosebumps.

  • Nylons are always a NO, regardless of the weather.  Even on the coldest of MN winter days I leave them at home.

  • I think nylons are okay in cold weather as long as they don't make your legs look some weird color that doesn't match your skin tone - like too pale or too tan.

I like that I don't get goose bumps when I wear them and I like the shape wear factor too, although you could just go with thigh-highs.

Bottom line: wear what makes you comfortable.

  • Wear hose. It's a wedding. There will be other guests there as well as the bride or groom's relatives. On an occasion like this, it's best to dress appropriate.
  • Depends on how cold really. If the high for that day is 70 degrees or lower, or if it's Nov. - Feb., I would wear stockings, tights, etc.
