So, most of you know my story.. I lost 75-80 pounds and reached my goal weight about a year before the wedding. Maintaining this weight was of the utmost importance for me from the day I hit goal through the wedding. The dress was already purchased, afterall!
Now, I have to admit I'm struggling to maintain a little bit. I'm currently 6 pounds over goal, which is not TERRIBLE but I'm really worried that this trend will continue.
I am determined to get back on track and keep myself in check. Anyone else battling to maintain or lose weight after the wedding? Can we go back to doing accountability daily like we did before the wedding?
For me right now:
B-Granola bar
L-GIANT salad with tons of veg and fat free Italian dressing, cup of chicken tortilla soup
S-Broccoli with cheese
D-Going out.. Planning to order grilled chicken sandwich (with cheese and light ranch), side salad, and steamed veg.
Re: Accountability - Weight loss/maintenance
What an amazing thing to do!
I've taken diet pills in the past and have managed to lose about 40 pounds but I've always gained it back. I'm currently down 5-10 pounds from what I was right before the wedding and I really would like to keep going down. It's easier because my H isn't around so we aren't eating out as much. My only goal is to always be lighter than him always! I would be embarassed to weigh more than my husband.
I don't really try to watch what I eat but I don't gorge either.
B - leftover southern salad from dinner (I'm weird); butter toffee coffee
L - Sandwich with turkey, cucumbers, and tomato. Butter on one bread and honey mustard on the other (no mayo). Cherry coke to drink.
D - My cousin and I have a Disney meet up tonight so we'll probably end up picking up McDonalds for dinner.
I don't snack either. I don't usually get hungry until my next meal.
I'm probably not one to be in this topic but I wanted to share. haha
I think this is a great idea. I am up about 8 lbs from where I want to be. I lost 60 lbs about 7 years ago so I know how important weight maintenance is.
I think if we add some weekly or monthly challenges it would make it more interesting.
B: bagel thin, banana
L: spaghett squash topped w: broccoli, chicken, cheese
E: walk 2 miles
I think this is a great idea and would be willing to post/help keep each other accountable. Since the wedding I have probably gained about 5-7 lbs. and would like to lose those as well as a little bit more that I didn't get off before the wedding.
Weekly and/or monthly challenge sound like a great idea to help keep us all motivated and keep things more interesting.
Here is my menu for today:
B: Granola bar on my way to church
L: leftover chicken alfredo
E: Recovery day (ran a 5K yesterday and my legs are sore!!)
Here's a question for you ladies: How do you maintain/stay on track during the weekend? I feel like this is when DH and I struggle the most because we are hanging with friends and just relaxing around the house.
I'm terrible at dieting and exercise but I wanted to share that I mysteriously have lost 12 pounds since my wedding. I have no idea how. It's weird because my clothes don't fit any better then they did before...
Today I had:
B: Apple, jello mouse temptation cup, coffee
L: uneaten dinner of Carl's crispy chicken swiss sandwich & snack sized bag of kettle corn, can of coke
Yesterday:
B-granola bar, diet soda
L-Healthy choice steamers, fiber one brownie
S-Chips and salsa
D-Chicken and black bean enchiladas
Today:
B-granola bar, coffee
L- forgot my lunch-eating in the cafeteria today.. whole wheat chicken nuggets, mashed potatoes, broccoli, milk
D- TBD! I have some leftover enchilada filling that I may heat up and eat over rice?
