Fitness

I know there was some talk right after moving over from TN to TK about keeping accountability threads going or doing once day a week fitness topic or something. Whatever happened with that....having gained over 10lbs since the wedding and being tired all the time, I'm realizing that I really need to start making more of an effort again. Not sure what the format was or maybe it needs to be changed to make it more practical, mostly just wondering if anyone was still interested?

Re: Fitness

  • I know that cpm1223 had been posting on Fridays. I recall the threads from TK we listed: breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack, and what our routine/workout was for the day. I thought it was pretty helpful way to kind of keep track of what you were eating and doing for activity. Nice way to keep motivation, too.

I'd be game to doing this again. I think I gained a little weight, and I was surprised when I fit into my dress last weekend (allbeit, a *little* snugger than 5 months ago!). I plan to begin p90x again (starting Monday), plus I do Zumba 2x a week.

Anyway. I'm interested. Let's start Monday of daily posts? Or maybe 2x a week? I feel like 1x a week isn't quite enough. I NEED to fit into a swim suit in May!

  • I've gained weight too! I'd be interested in accountability posts.

  • I've been doing something called MyFitnessPal. It's a free app and it calculates how many calories you can have per day based on your height, weight, and goals. You can track your meals and it figures out nutritional facts of your meals, and you can input your exercise and water intake. My friend (and BM) turned me on to it. I'm down 1lb since last week!

  • Yeah I have used loseit.com since befor the wedding, same idea as myfitnesspal without the fluff. Its definately helping, but its hard to not just quit for a week whenver because theres really no accountability to anyone else. I think 2x a week sounds good, Maybe Mondays and fridays, with monday being a "weekend update, and week plan for meals/fitness goals" and friday being the "week update/weekend goals?" I don't really feel like listing specific meals eaten helps me that much, but if it helps you list that too?
