I think I broke DH :/

We were horse-playing (wrestling) on Sunday. He was on top of me and kept pinching me so I flipped over and put him in a headlock and kind of squeezed.. He tapped out and said his jaw was sore, so I apologized. Ever since then his jaw has made a weird clicking sound (so he says) when he eats and it hurts to yawn. I feel so awful!! Sad

Re: I think I broke DH :/

  • Awww...It's ok. You two know your limits now. If it keeps bothering him he should get it checked out.

  • Don't feel bad. I've done things like that before to DH, and have felt awful for days, only to find out he had already forgotten about it. One example in particular is when I was blacked out drunk for the first time ever and apparently decided it was a good idea to jump on him while we were dancing. We both fell to the ground and he hurt his hand. I felt sooo bad knowing that I had caused it, but we just laugh about it now. :)

Also, I agree with PP, if it's still hurting him by the end of the weak and not feeling any better, it might be a good idea to see someone. I'm sure it's just a bruise or a strain though.

  • I once gave H a bloody nose on accident. It's okay. Things happen.
  • Don't worry about it. H and I are constantly injuring ourselves doing silly things like that. I usually end up scratching the crap out of him with my rings and he usually hurts my back somehow. I wouldn't dwell on it too much but I agree with everyone else, if it still hurts in a couple of days get it checked out. It should be fine, you'd have to squeeze pretty hard to mess his jaw up seriously.
  • I accidently kneed my FI where it counts when horse-playing one time. I've never seen his face get so twisted in pain... I felt horrible.

I would also suggest getting it checked out if it doesn't feel better after about a week.

  • I once bit DH on the thumb a little too hard while play fighting and it went numb for weeks. Our vet friend said monkey bites can do that. Since then he affectionately calls me monkey... I love it.

Lmao, I'm glad I'm not the only one. Back when we were in high school (we've been together for a long time), DH pinched my side in study hall and I accidentally elbowed his nose and it bled everywhere. I felt horrible....but he was fine. I wouldn't sweat it OP, stuff like that happens.
