Planning a Retiremnet Party for the Inlaws

I am assisting the inlaws in plannning a retirement party. They retired from the juvenile system and the school system as an administrator. I need some ideas on centerpieces! they don't have a theme or a color scheme so anything would help! Thanks a bunch!

Re: Planning a Retiremnet Party for the Inlaws

  • You can never go wrong with fresh flowers.  As for colors, you could use flowers that coordinate with the space.  Or, pick flowers that are fitting to the season.

If you are having a casual party at a hall, maybe balloon centerpeices.  They can help jazz up a plain space.

Where and when is the party?  How formal are you expecting it to be? Will you have round or long tables?

  • round tables nothing formal. next week and evening event. there will be hurricane candles on the table but i want to add something to it so it'll be fun and creative but i'm drawing a blank.
  • Would apples be too cliche?  I was just thinking they are seasonal and colorful then realized it's also teachery.
