Going to get my Dad and his wife a knife set for Christmas. Would like to spend $150 or less. Any recommendations? Should I get a set of steak knives? Utility/other knives? A block with both? Not even sure what brand to get...Henckels and Wusthof are the only kind I know.
Also getting a monogrammed cutting board - happy I have an idea...but not sure what to get.
TIA!
Re: Knife Set?
well i guess what kind you should get depends on what they need. if they have steak knives then dont get them a 2nd set. same iwth the board. if they have a 15x15 great wooden board then dont get them another. since a monogram is for one person (first initial, last initial, first initial) i'm not sure a monogrammed one would be good for both of them unless you got both of their monograms on it.
for a set i dont know if there are really good ones for 150 or less. great knives are expensive. you coudl just get them one or 2 really good ones for that. but find out what they need first.
