A little bit about me since I am new here. I am usually on my iPhone or iPad so please be somewhat understand of my lack of editing and I will try to put paragraphs in the hard way.
I am 35, we have two adorable little boys ages 4 and 18 months. Ds2 is still nursing once in the am and I typically hold onto some weight and cannot shake it while nursing- I would imagine the end is near in the next couple of months or perhaps when I go away on my first girls weekend in at least five years- hallelujla! Girls weekend here I come!
. It isn't in stone but it should be about Dec. 7 for our trip which I think gives me a reasonable amount of time to make a difference in my appearance and energy levels. Currently I am 5'1" and weigh 121 lbs. My thighs and legs look good, its just my swelly belly as i call it for a variety of reasons. I carry it all in my lower tum tum.
If I lost 7 lbs and toned up I thnk i would be absolutely rocking my old clothes and feeling good about it. I wouldn't be my skinniest or anything but I think I would feel good about where was. Before I started nursing I was a 32F so I have no clue what I am now nursing but you can see that carrying around those suckers is a workout in and of itself and high impact stuff wouldn't be comfy for me even with a great bra. I also have some lower back issues and nerve issues down one leg. I joined weight way hrs and wear my la rive link and I just need to figure out how to incorporate more activity. Getting to the gym is rough and I like the thirty minute idea and that she changeqs things up. I dislike listening to workout DVD music- once I learn the moves will i be able to mute it and play my own?
In my twenties I had success I with beachBody's slim in six so I was considering insanity but it seemed like a bigger commitment and probably a more expensive program. Sorry that was so long- too tired to edit!
Re: New intro and ?s about 30 day Shred. Tia
I've been doing the 30DS (or at least the exercises without the video) on and off for over a year and a half now. Personally, I haven't had any kind of muscle or bone injuries, but I also didn't see any huge change in my weight or appearance doing the workout alone. I had to add running to the mix- at 5' even, I went from 130 to 110. But that could just be me.
As for the video, I always set it up and let the intro play (I think you can fast forward through it, but not skip it entirely?) while I tied my shoes, etc. You can mute it, but truthfully, you probably won't need the video after a while. I just set a timer to pace myself. But I will warn you, some of the video is very hight impact (jumping jacks, etc). I'm only a 32D and even with a good sports bra, it's not always comfortable.
Good luck!
