NDR: in-laws 35th anniversary

My FIL & MIL are going to be celebrating their 35th anniversary in a few weeks, and I am planning on submitting their picture and a small announcement to their local newspaper.

My question is, after the announcement line is it cheesy to include a line saying something like "congratulations and best wishes may be sent to (their address)" ?  Or is this better left unsaid?

Thanks for your advice!

  • Id leave it off.  I personally wouldnt be too happy if someone published my home address in a newspaper.

That's kind of what I was thinking, but actually in our area it's pretty common to do this (they live in a smaller town).  I think I'll leave it off anyway though, just because I wonder if it sounds like we are begging people to send them cards?  I figure if people see it and they want to send them a card, they probably already know them and have their address or they can just look it up in the phonebook, etc..
