Hi,
I am 5'3 and I currently weigh 128 pounds. I would like to lose between 5-10 pounds. Do you guys think I can accomplish that (5 pounds) in a month if I go to the gym 2 times a week for an hour on the elliptical or arc trainer and eat healthy (no junk food, cutting off alcohol for that month). I WAS going to try to eat 3 imes a day, but that's not possible for me due to school and work. Thanks for the help in advance.
Re: Fitness help, please
Hello...
I was in the same boat trying to loose weight but not eating enough because of my busy schedule and my kids schedule... When you don't eat, your body holds on to whatever you put into it because it is basically in starvation mode! I started a 90 day challenge with Body By Vi that is so simple and is just a meal replacement and I have lost 16 pounds (and my hubby 19) in just our first 30 days... I recommend it to anyone who is trying to loose weight, get fit, or even build muscle!
Losing 5 lbs in a month is just a little more than 1lb per week. Which is definitely doable.
I'd join a site like myfitnesspal or sparkpeople - both of which are free - where you can enter in your current and goal weight. You can also enter in your activity and it can help you come up with a daily caloric goal to meet your goal weight.
Personally I'd avoid anythink like the shakes, supplements, etc. You want to find a plan that is sustainable. And I don't see meal replacements as sustainable long term.
Look at www.advocare.com at their active line. The Advobars have 11 grams of protein and the meal replacement bars have 16 grams of protein. Both are great for quick and easy meal replacements. Plus they are low in sugar and offer a lot of nutrition. I eat these daily and have lost 40 pounds with advocare.
