Carl Quintanilla makes a good point

He just tweeted "I wonder if it's frustrating for ANY incumbent not to be able to cite classified information on a foreign pol question."

I bet it is, to have information but not be able to use it to better support the points you are making.

Re: Carl Quintanilla makes a good point

  • Such classified info is also why candidates change foreign policy and defense positions once in office and privy to such information.
  • Yeah, I often wonder if my perspective on foreign policy would change if I knew all the shiit that goes on out there.  Thank God I'm not president, back to armchair politicking.

  • Agree! DH and I often have joked that the day you are inaugurated they say "yeeeeaaa so all that stuff you promised everyone you are going to do, not going to happen" as they throw a big stack of papers on your desk stamped "classified".
