Hi everyone,
I haven't been around here in a while! Finally broke down and bought a Crock Pot so I'm looking for some recipe ideas to make in it. Any good ones?
TIA.

Re: Crock Pot recipes?
Another vote for skinny taste!
Also - sometimes I will just google "xxxx slow cooker recipe" with whatever I am in the mood for / or have in the fridge and pick one with the most positive reviews!
Slow cookers are awesome!
chicken cacciatore
mongolian beef
carnitas
I also love the skinnytaste website or 365 days of crockpot cooking.
The Rowdy Roberts
I love using my crockpot when I can, the problem I always run into is not being home in time to turn it down. I am away from my kitchen for at least 11 hours each day so I always look for recipes with long cook times. Here is one of my favorites...its so easy and really good! I also have a little Pilsbury crock pot recipe book that has some great recipes I just haven't gotten around to trying any of them.

Crock-Pot French Dip Sandwiches
I have a few in my blog. We made this recently, it is a new favorite!
This is by far the best chili recipe I've found - http://www.recipebridge.com/g/221/7029237146/mamas-beer-chili-slow-cooker I found it in one of those Crockpot recipe books they have at the grocery store checkout years ago and it's fantastic. Don't worry about the beer, you can't even taste it and the flavor of the turkey is enhanced if you use a good olive oil. I prefer The Village Press because it's rich and grassy but not over-the-top.
I serve my chili with sour cream and crumbled corn chips on top, or brush pita bread with the olive oil and sprinkle a little garlic salt on top then grill in the oven for a few minutes until crispy. Dunk and enjoy!
This. There is also Crockpot Tuesdays.
