Thoughts on colored front door

I always thought it would be fun to have a red front door. We have moved into a brown Santa Fe style house and oddly enough it has a light blue door. We kind of think it is fun to have a colored door but are wondering if there is a better color and I'm not sure red would go that we'll with Santa Fe. Any suggestions?

We had a royal blue on a light brick house at our old home. I loved the pop of color. I'm hoping to paint our new door a bright yellow since we now own a gray stone home.

What about orange? I think a nice burnt orange would be beautiful!

I agree red with santa fe style might not work so well. I like the idea of blue, but what about brighter primary color blue instead of a light blue?

I simply love red. I am sure a red front door will look great in your house. It is always nicer to have a bright welcoming to a house. If you post some pictures of the front it will be easier to suggest colors.

I LOVE colored front doors! Especially red ones! On white houses is my favorite but brown works too though I'm not too familiar with Santa Fe styles..
