This, though based on her stances now I probably would not vote for her unless the D candidate was just absurd. If she remained more moderate I would be more apt to vote for her than if she pandered to the far Right like Romney/Ryan is doing.
As far as Republicans go, I think she would make a decent President. She certainly has a stronger command of policy issues than Mitt Romney, Paul Ryan or Sarah Palin. I disagree with a lot of her positions, but she's not Looney Tunes, Todd Akin crazy and actually cares more about governing than ideology.
However, I have a feeling she wouldn't make a very good candidate. She's never run for nor held elected office. She'd get eaten alive in the meat grinder that is the Republican Primary Circus. She's a woman of color, which just isn't very appealing to the Tea Party and Republican base. She's one of the many Republicans who would make an interesting candidate in the general election, but just has no prayer of ever winning the nomination.
I like her views; she's intelligent and knowledgeable. Is she one of my favorites for a future run? Probably not, I think you have to have experience running for other offices. The nuts and bolts of campaigning would be difficult for a novice. Romney had some rocky spots in this run, and he'd been preparing for it for years.
I'd rather see someone who is a governor. I could see Martinez or Christie making a run. I also like Portman, Rubio, and Ryan from the congress.
Now, that's an election I would love to see and maybe even have to think about who I'd vote for.
Since so many o you respect her, I thought I'd point out that Condoleeza says that at this point all the Benghazi accusations are inappropriate.
?We don?t have all the pieces and I think it?s easy to try and jump to conclusions about what might have happened here,? she told Fox?s Greta Van Susteren in an interview Wednesday. ?It?s probably better to let the relevant bodies do their work.?
