I realize it's late in the day already, but does anyone have any recommendations for a fish fry in/near Gtown, Menomonee Falls, etc.? All this crazy, snowy weather has DH and I craving a good fry!
Re: Fish fry in NW suburbs?
I've heard Mibs & Vivs (on Lannon Road and Main Street (Hwy 74) in Lannon, Wisconsin) is really good.
(sorry for the wonky formatting)
I know i'm a little late, and its a little beyond GTown or the Falls, but MJ Stevens in Hartford has an AMAZING fish fry. Its got herbs in the crust and isn't beer battered. Sometimes the wait is close to 2 hours, but it is soooo worth it! Their address is 5260 Aurora Rd, Hartford, WI 53027, (262) 644-6037). While the address is technically Hartford, its really just north of Slinger on Hwy 41.
And, if you're up in that neck of the woods, the MineShaft in Hartford isn't bad either. Its beer battered, but the price is the kicker - all you can eat for only $5!!! Be prepared for another long wait though... if you're lookin for an empty bar stool while you wait for your buzzer to light up, head two doors down to the Bank Shot (the buzzer will still work). not the classiest joint, but its better than standing in a cramped corner with 300 other people waiting for their names to be called.
dang. now i want a fish fry.
