I saw the story first on WPXI and the one boy interviewed said it was the only way he knew how to dance. It was all rather comical to some respect but our high school dances were free from grinding. I wasn't introduced to that until I was at club zoo or stratus in oakland. hahahha. Kids these days... <get off my lawn> they should all have to learn the foxtrot, or something.

HAHA! That's funny.
Ah, Footloose in Mt Lebo. If only the other Pittsburgh burbs had their problems!
I love how the local media is covering this story - it's so funny to read / listen to the ways they describe "grinding."
Hah!
When I heard this story on the news yesterday I felt like I had been transported to 1995 with Eric Nies. Kids practically had sex on the dance floor when I was in high school. My prom was especially horrifying.
I have family that work there and it is hysterical to hear her talk about it!! There is even talk of having dance classes to teach the kids how to 'real' dance. I'm sure the students would LOVE their teachers showing them how to dance!! It just makes me think of that scene in Harry Potter when the redhead has to dance with the teacher!
There are so many other issues that are more important to me then how a kid dances.
We may have had one or two pool parties which resulted in The Grind being mentioned (spring break version obvs). BUT there was no grinding at my party. Just kids who can't resist dancing (and some grownups who encourage it completely)

Kids these days are still grinding? Back in my day of under 21 dance clubs, that's all we did...this was over 20 years ago, you'd think they would come up with some new moves by now! What is also hysterical is that I actually know "Mr. McFeeley". haha!
Oh, I totally agree. If I think about it too much I may ship EJ off to a convent.
Totally agree!
I feel the same way when I hear a car with too loud base and a boy with pants well below their butt. That was so 1990.
I thought the same exact thing.
My second thought, such first world problems Mt. Lebo is worrying about.
Something like this would never happen in a nice school like that! Surely you must be mistaken!
Seriously though, between this and the woman in Upper Saint Claire who was on the news this summer because a vandal put some marks in her $10,000 front door, I really think they need perspective out there in them fancy south hills. HA!
haha me too. they always make me smile but i was definitely LOLing this morning.
Exactly!
Oh club zoo! Is that still around?
Well it isn't still in Parkway Center like it was when I was in highschool. But I think it is down in the strip where have a nice day used to be. But I could be wrong.
Well, I hope it's not around when my daughter are older. That place was sleazy...but fun.
Ha! I think we went to the same dances!
