What is everyone being for Halloween this year? Any plans this weekend to celebrate?

I have a baby's birthday party to attend this saturday and then two halloween parties that night. I'm going to be exhausted! And I don't even have a costume yet. I might have to recycle an old one or borrow one from my cousin. 

I love Disney and if H is home next year I think we should go as this:

I actually have a Mary Poppins umbrella so I'm halfway there! haha

Have a curling bonspiel this weekend with H, my dad, and my sister, but we're not doing anything much for that. For work, though, my coworker and I have to top last year's bloody gory theme (which won us best decorations!). We're doing a Willy Wonka theme, where I'm Violet and he's an Oompa Loompa. Our boss was going to be Willy Wonka but he'll be out of town, so we made cardboard cutouts of his face on a picture and of our other coworker whose face we put on an Oompa Loompa. If I weren't on my phone I'd post progress pictures!

I love the Mary Poppins costume and you'll have to post pictures of all of the Willy Wonka costumes. How fun!

I'm going out with a bunch of friends and H on Saturday dressed up. I really want to try and be the Long Island Medium and her husband. haha with long claw nails and puffy hair and he would be all tattooed and have a soul patch. It would be hilarious!  If those don't work out we're probably going to be a ref and a football player. I hope I can find a blond wig so we can be Theresa and Larry.

Is it sad I just realized its the Saturday before Halloween this Saturday? We aren't big on dressing up for Halloween.

I used to be really into Halloween and always came up with really good costumes, but I haven't done much for the past couple of years. I am looking forward to the actual night of Halloween though. This will be our first Halloween in our new house, and we've heard from several neighbors that there are a lot of kids in our neighborhood and to expect a lot of trick or treaters. I have never lived in a neighborhood with lots of trick or treaters so I'm really excited about this!

I heard the opposite from our neighbors after we moved in - they said we hardly get any trick or treaters. I was disappointed!

I don't think we'll be doing anything special this year. We live in an adult-only building, so no trick-or-treaters, either.

We will be takingour kids out trick or treating on Halloween. I think we've decided to dress up as walkers(zombies) for Halloween.

Tonight, I am in charge of the Halloween dance.  I teach 8th grade, so middle school costume dance tonight.  Haha.  I'm not dressing up, though, because tonight before the dance is Parent/Teacher conferences and I can't exactly be in costume for that.

 

Tomorrow, I hope to cuddle up with DH on the couch, doing basically nothing.  We'll hand out candy for a little while, but when we're out, we'll turn the light off.

I am planning to be a couch potato on Halloween. We live in an apartment, so I don't think that we will have any trick or treater's. We'll see.

I got invited to a party, but H and I went out instead. He is still recovering from a minor hand surgery.

I went to two halloween parties on Saturday. I wasn't wearing a sweater and got home really late. I'm so sick and miserable. So I will be on the couch, wrapped with blankets, and watching tv tomorrow night.
