This will be my first attempt at baking a whole chicken. DH thought he should tell me how to prepare it even though i was looking it up online how to. I may have snapped at him, but he should have known better than to tell a PMSing woman what to do in the kitchen. Oops. I need chocolate.
Re: WFD?
Don't you just hate that??
Although I am a great cook, my DH is from el Salvador and My family comes from Mexico. Our food is completely different and he tries to tell me how to cook something and even though I'm not PMSing it still irritates me!
Men should know better!!!
By the way, what does WFD mean?
Sorry, means what's for dinner? But yes very irritating. There's some meals that i let him make because he makes great Caribbean food. But being in the kitchen is "me time." and if we need help we ask.
Exactly!!!
Men are silly! That's like us telling them how to fix the car. LOL!
Yum!
Yum!
I made lasagna cupcakes, lasagna with wonton cups instead of noodles. DH said it was the best thing I've ever made! It's saved on my Pinterest if anyone wants to try it.
Here's how you can make that roast if you're interested. It is literally the easiest recipe I know: Put a roast in the slow cooker. (it can be any kind of roast, beef or pork). Put some baby carrots and red poatoes on top (cut the potatoes into small peices if they are big). Top w/ salt and pepper. Add water until it covers at least the whole roast. Cook on low for 8 hours. The meat will be shredded and juicy and delicious.
You could add other veggies if you want, like celery, for instance. And you could use beef stock/broth instead of water. And you can put whatever spices you want on it too, instead of just salt and pepper. I make this recipe every thursday because we have church after work and it's nice to come home to dinner already waiting for us.
Sounds incredible. I made a roast one time but it came out dry. Ill have to try your way. Thank you!
