These are counties Obama carried in 2008. The first number is his vote total, the second is McCain's. There's an article out there that states that the entire election may come down to two counties, Hamilton and Cuyahoga.

A lot of R counties are up big-time in absentee ballot requests. The margin is more than cut in half from last time. (I think the total figure is 100+ k so far, but it's really hard to figure out since the party registration is not for this election but the last primary that a person voted in)

Another interesting article. I was heartened by the fact that Tuscarawas has always voted for the winner since 1992. That's big-time Romney country this time. McCain barely lost it (1,000 margin).

NPR ran a piece a few weeks back about how Wood County has picked all but one winner since 1960 (wrong in '76).
Wood is my home county and I was surprised it went blue in '08. No idea how it's looking now though, I'm out of state.
