Was an absolute madhouse last night!!  DH wanted to look for a new computer.  I needed to return some diapers and I was looking at people's carts when they walked by.  EVERY person had water and/or milk in their cart.  It gave me a laugh.

We were in walmart and everyone was buying batteries!

When I drove past the one in Elsmere on my way home last night, there were lines of at least 15 cars waiting to go in and out. Crazy!

I just got back from Home Depot and it was just as bad. I had to get some gutter extenders and I got the last 4. As I was grabbing them someone offered me $10 for all 4 (they were $8 each) if I hand them over to them and I said no! I dont want all our seeds and soil to wash away, we are just starting to get some grass.

There was a mtn of bottled water when we walked into Walmart, I told H to grab one... good thing because the water aisle was EMPTY.  No C and D batteries, but my mom has some Ds for our flashlight.  But we will mostly be using the fireplace (gas still works) and candles.

We got milk... and will be keeping it in a cooler with ice if/when the power goes out.  Along with deli meats etc.  I've been filling up gallon freezer bags with ice since Friday to pack the cooler with.

Heat didn't work, but the fireplace worked when we lost power last october in that snow storm.

You guys inspired us to turn on our fireplace just now and test it before the storm. Make sure everything works ok.
