Replacing a wall unit microwave?
Are the wall units (built into the wall, hanging over the range) something you can replace DIY? The home we just bought has a wall unit that smells AWFUL. Not sure why, or what we can do about it. I tried Chrlox wipes, scrubbing bubbles Kitchen, both of which made it smell worse. It's like anytime you clean it it just brings out the odor even more. Any tips on cleaning it to get the smell out? Or tips on finding a new unit and replacing it?

Yes, as previous poster stated but i'll say easy to do when there are two people. DH and I replaced ours last week. They are about 60lbs so be careful. Our old microwave and new one had the same mounting bracket which helped out greatly. As far as venting goes, most times you can open the vent and point it into the direction you need it to go. Good luck!
As far as the smell goes, lemon juice mixed with some water in a dish, microwaved can help with odor on the inside sometimes.
