Worried about my cat :(

Hello Everyone! Okay, so my two year old female cat has vomited 5 times in a span of six hours or so and I'm not sure what is causing it. Her eyes are bright and normal, her feces is not completely solid per se, but is not liquid, either. She's had a lot of water since the last time she got sick and other than that, she is acting normal-currently sleeping. Has anyone else ever experienced this with their cat? I'm hoping it's just a matter of her eating too much. :(

Re: Worried about my cat :(

  • She needs to see a vet. Vomiting that much can cause dehydration so she needs to get those fluids back. Bloodwork should also be ran.

  • My husband is at work and had to take our car, so a vet, unfortunately, may have to wait until he comes home. :( On the upside, she hasn't vomited again for almost 2 hours and is acting normal-currently sleeping in her favorite sun spot. I'm hoping that's a good sign.

  • I would get her in ASAP.  One of my cats vomited several times in just a few minutes and it turned out that she had eaten an ear plug of mine.  Luckily she passed it on her own and didn't need any additional treatment.

The same thing happened to me, except it was some random rubber thing.  He passed it and was okay but he vomitted a lot before he passed it.

I hope your cat is okay!

  • Thank you everyone! Thankfully, she is okay. She stopped vomiting several hours ago and is eating and drinking regularly and everything is staying down. She is back to her normal self, getting into trouble for knocking things down. :) I'm still keeping an eye on her though, just in case she starts getting sick again. So far, so good!

  • I'm glad to hear she's doing better, but please still take her to the vet. Cat's are notorious for seeming normal but still being sick.
