30th bday centerpieces
Hello Everyone,
I am throwing a surprise party for my hubby's 30th birthday this year. I am calling it a Dirty 30 party. We will have family member and friends there, probably adults only. I have never thrown a surprise party before, so I'm a little nervous about how everything is going to come together. Do you have any suggestions for party ideas/centerpieces/favors, or any tips on throwing surprise parties? Any help is appreciated!

Good to know that you are throwing first party. Make a list of everything
that you need that day and book everything in advance nothing else.
Or you could buy some Halloween costumes if you have extra budget.
Some kind of game or activity would be good to keep the guests occupied - like karyoke or a poker tournament or something. What do you mean by "Dirty 30"? Is it supposed to be dirty as in sexy, or dirty as in we are playing football in the mud?
Is this a sit down dinner? I'd probably go with a table full of appetizers if this is a casual party at your home. The centerpiece for the buffet could be some flowers or a tower of beer cans, depending on your husband and what he likes.
Dirty 30 makes me think of Dirty Martinis, so maybe you could have a swanky martini bar or something. Very James Bond.

just an idea for ya, i just threw my dh a surprise 40th and did a beer tasting theme. huge hit!!! went beyond better than i expected.
i'll come back to give you some ideas if you're interested.
for centerpieces, i had beer labels made with his face and info on it. We called the party lastname fest....instead of "octoberfest". and i removed lables from beer bottles and put his labels on them and filled with flowers. I'll post a pic later if I can or send me a pm and I will email you if you are interested.
Highly recomend the theme. It's a great one for a 30th!
