People asking about babies

Do people ever ask you when you are planning on having babies or more babies? What do you tell them?

I hate when people ask me "Ohhh when are you going for #2??" because not only is it none of their business but I dont want them to know its something we are or arent working on, you know? It just always makes me feel so weird when people ask. If its a close friend and were on the topic it doesnt bother me but people I barely know just make me feel so uncomfortable.

I'm going to be completely honest and say that people on this board have asked me more than anyone in real life.

Uh yeah dealing with the question when you're having trouble getting pregnant is miserable.

I agree.. it's none of their business. I haven't really been asked yet, but my dd is only 5 months old and we had her right after we got married. I don't think I would know what to say...

I hate that question....especially since my tubal in August.  I have this one family friend and if it comes up one more time I may just scream and tell the truth.  I just say oh when it happens....and then people ask if we're working on it....drives me nuts....why do you care if we're going to rush home and do the deed...

Lilly asked MIL if daddy and Amanda are going to have a baby... but that's cute lol.

People ask more now we are married, and I usually just say we want a year of no life changes esp with how our lives have been the past year or so... and change the subject to H's civilian transition. 

My BFF from college told me they were trying, and we are close and she was telling me about getting off BCP etc.  So I sometimes ask how the process is because we are close... otherwise I don't think I've ever asked anyone.

I would suggest you tell people that you're going to talk about it after a year. People remember and so in one year the questions will be doubled!

Thats a good idea. My neighbors are definitely the worse. Between the 4 of them I get asked at least once every other month.

Yea, I usually say we want a year without life changes, and we'll talk about it next year... see where finances are etc.  I only expect to hear it from family, because that's what families do lol.

My family is in terrible need of a new baby. The newest baby in my family is my baby at 10 years old. We have been married almost 5 years, Im almost 30, DH is 34 and DS is 10. People are starting to think there is something "wrong" and that I cant get pregnant. DH's sister, and my cousin who both had trouble getting pregnant have both asked me if everything was "ok". Those two and our parents get a pass. Anyone else gets a "we arent having kids. Chase is enough for us". Which will stun the crap out of people when we finally do tell them.

We arent telling anyone when the IUD comes out and only telling our mothers and you guys (I will need to tell someone!!!) when we get a BFP. We might end up having to tell our two closest friends because they would notice my beverage selections immediately.
