I was wondering how often most newly-wed couples have sex on average.

 My new husband and I have been married for two months and are very blissfully happy. The problem is that he is a very tired, stressed out attorney. We still make love 2-4 times a week but I guess that is just far less than I thought newly weds would be having sex.  he is 31 and I am 24.

That sounds about right to me. There's no "normal" amount of sex, because everyone's situation is different. We're also about 2-4 times a week, and we've got a baby & DH has a full time job. 

If his job is high-stress and leaves him tired and spent, just remember that sex oftentimes can be quality vs. quantity. Do what you can to help him relax after work. For my husband, that means having a Guinness chilled and ready when he gets home. Then he's ready for pretty much anything. So find that little something that makes your husband feel treated, and when you do have sex, make the most of it!

DH and I have been married for 3 months and have sex on average 3-4 times a month.  We were having sex before we got married.  However, I will admit I am the reason we don't do it more as I work nights, he works days, and a lot of time I am just tired or not in the mood.  We have been trying to do it more often though.

I'm 30, he's 32, been married since 12/20/10, we are trying to conceive so it's more times during my fertile window (once a day for 3-4 days straight) and on regular weeks, around 2-3 times a week which is fine with me - he would love it 3 times a day but I am not like that.

I wouldn't consider us newlyweds anymore but when were first married I would say an average of twice a day. Now it's 4-7 times a week.

Only about 1-2 times a week. I am shocked that a lot of you are doing it just about daily. I don't have that kind of energy. I used to, but I think my hormones have leveled out. I'm not worried about it because the frequency and quality of our sex life is perfect for us, and we have a very strong relationship.

We do flirt and pleasure each other daily, whether it's a make-out session or just wandering hands, so whether it turns into sex or not depends on the day.

We are usually 3-5 times a week.  I work all day on Friday and Sunday so it is next to impossible for us to do it 7 times a week.  Sometimes it depends on the week, if I am really busy with school work it is less.  I try to do it as often as possible, but life does get in the way sometimes!

4ish here...it's me not him. My job exhausts me mentally and physically, but I always try to make it 4 or more here. He knows that it's mostly mental for me, so he tries to help plant seeds all day via text or phone call to get me thinking sexy thoughts. Sometimes they work. I also realize I need to try to get myself there too.

Every couple is different and should'nt be compared. With that said, when DH and I were newlyweds we averaged about 3 times a week.

We lived together for a while, so our numbers be average.  There is no average numbers though, whatever is normal for that couple.  Jobs, stress, running household, etc all can affect the #'s as well.  Some days people just want to go to sleep though, that is just the reality of it.

My husband and I have been together for four years but we just got married on Saturday. He works nights and I go to school during the day but we have always tried to be intimate 3-4 days a week. With him working and us not being able to see eachother during the week makes our time together even more special.
